About Me Blog Challenge

So, as usual, I am a day late (and far more than a dollar short!) at even discovering this 2peas challenge, let alone doing it. But, I like it, so I'm going to do it!

Details about you:
Your first name:   Amy
Nicknames:  My dad used to call me Amos McGinnis McGinnis McGoo (I've no idea how to spell that!); Kendell calls me Hamster
Age:  33
Where you were born: Utah
Where you live now: Utah (one of THE great humiliations of my life...never moving anywhere)
Children?  4: Haley, Jake, Nathan, and Kaleb
Favorite Holiday tradition: Looking at and telling the stories of the nativities I have collected...my kids all love this!
When you started scrapping:  1996
How many times have you been published? I've written 11 articles for Simple Scrapbooks and two advertorials for Epson
Favorite food:  Food food---pasta; vegetable---artichoke; fruit---the glorious raspberry
Favorite snack: chocolate, the darker the better!

Last but not least, three pictures of me. Let me tell you that this was HARD.  I don't mind getting my picture taken but I DO mind asking to get my picture taken, and Kendell just doesn't ever think about it. So, I had to search and I only came up with ONE with just me in it. The first one is me with my mother-in-law (on the left) and my mom (on the right) on Kaleb's blessing day:

Me_mom_beth The next one is me, Kaleb, and Nathan at Disneyland.  We bought a little Canon A something or other to take into Disneyland because I didn't want to take my 20d into the park. This was the first picture we took with it, and it nearly didn't happen. I had been sitting outside of Indiana Jones waiting for everyone to come out, just me and Kaleb, and thought to myself "self, why don't you snap a self-portrait of you and Kaleb to remember this moment?" So I tried to take one of those hold-the-camera-up-and-hope-for-the-best kind of pictures. And Kaleb knocked the camera out of my hand.  If I hadn't had that stupid, blessed wrist strap on, I would have dropped it before taking even one picture! At_disneyland

And, finally, the one of only me. On our way home from California, we spent a night in St. George with the intention of going to Zion National Park the next day. But Kendell woke up not feeling well, so we opted to visit Snow Canyon (a state park just outside of St. George) instead. It just doesn't seem right to me to be in southern Utah without having some desert experience. Snow Canyon wasn't as majestic or even as fun as Zion, but at least I got a little hike in!
